Do I need to front the whole whole $750-800 dollars just to get a point? I dont want to apply for a tag just want a point? I have always applied for a tag and sent all the money. Regardless of the money I was just wanting a point. Thanks

You only need to have half the money up front for sheep, goat, and moose tags. People pay the second half if they are drawn and if not you get a point.

Sorry, but you have to send in the whole amount with your application for Montana.

Pretty sure you both are correct. IIRC, NR front all the money and R fronts $75 and pays an additional $50 if drawn.

Easy to look up, I just don't have time right now.
