Moultrie trail camera overheated?!

I have two Moultrie D50 trail cams, recently set up one out in the deserts here in July, where temps can be 115 in the shade, which there is none. So, it is hot.

That said, I set up my Moultrie, which is new and 1st time setting this camera up here. The camera was set up for 2 weeks, took pics the first evening and early morning, then didn't take anything else for two weeks. I know it was working, early evening first day took 206 pics of birds, and I know the birds didn't dissapear, so it appears the camera just stoped working? Overheated possibly? Has anyone had experiance with Moulrie's not working in extreme heat, or should I be looking for fellow outdoorsman who turned the cam off?

Opinions...

pull your cam and set it up at your house and see if it will shutoff in the heat there if it does it the heat, if it don't it something else.
