Muzzle Loading Scope

I drew a muzzle tag and need to put a 1x scope on the muzzy. Was wondering what everyone would recommend. Any help would be appreciated.

Save your money.

Your eye can be from 1x to 1.5x so many have stated that the view thru a 1x scope seems farther than without the scope.

We have gone thru 3 different scopes, including the red-dot, over the years and have gone back to straight tru-glo sites.

If we could get the law changed from 1x to maybe up to 4x or something reasonable like that-----

We shoot T/C Pro Hunter .50 cals..

As Robb stated above!

1X Scopes are a JOKE!

Sure miss my 20/10 Vision!:D

If it keeps going, maybe someday I'll think the 1X Scopes are OK!:D

I have a Pahvant muzzle tag this year and decided to put a traditions 1 X 32 on my muzzleloader.....I am very pleased with the scope and have shooting the heck out of it lately.....My buddy has a Nikon 1 x 20 and I like the 1 x 32 better.....DOesn't make things look so tunneled.....I bought the traditions online for $48.......I say try it!

Im using a Bushnell TRS25 red dot and I think it is great and much better than iron sights. IMO

Koyote

I have a simmons 1X ( thinnner crosshairs) and i like it.
It don't cover up as much of the deer.

I used a Nikon 1x20. It does pretty good. I like it better than open sights. My brother tried the Cabelas and we both liked the Nikon better and that is what he ended up using on his LE Muzzy hunt.

Aimpoint brand red dot sights.

Comp C3 2moa
9000L 2 moa
9000sc 2 moa

Cant be beat for aiming precision. Kick ass over any 1x scope. The 2 moa dots covers much less of the target then any 1x scope reticle. Other advantages over 1x scopes are unlimited eye relief (can mount it as far forward or back as you want) and a much wider FOV with the 30mm tube. The red dot is also much faster to get on target. Close in you can keep both eyes open, long shots can be taken as normal with the non shooting eye closed if you want.

Parallax free at any distance. (reduces aiming error)

No tunnel effect, like your natural vision.

Best red dot made, longest battery life, battle proven toughness, brightest dots. Light and easy to mount.

If you are worried about battery life consider that the three sights I listed have a battery life of 5 years or 50,000 hours at setting 7 out of 10. (mine are normally on setting 7 or 8 in bright sunlight). .

Yes they are expensive at $400 but so is a Leupold for your 30-06.

Most people who have tried red dot sights and did not like them bought cheap $100 units. You get what you pay for.

I loved the Aim Point I used in 2011 in Utah but they are expensive. I tried a 1X scope and absolutely hated it. I would have used open sights before a 1X scope.

Thanks for the replies. After my research and the help from MM I ordered the Aimpoint CompC3. Can't wait to get it. September is just around the corner.
