Here is the results of my first elk hunt. I couldn't have done it without the help of Brandt, Scott and StinkyStomper's nemesis
30buck. He knows the mountain extremly well and he was gracious enough to show me all his honey holes and even took me to check his trail cameras earlier in the year. He is really a great guy that would give you the shirt off his back. He even changed his schedule around to stay an extra day and help me pack my bull out at the risk of causing trouble at his job. I can't thank these guys enough. 30buck's buddy Scott is a freaking stud, but I guess 5 years in the NFL will do that to a feller. 280lbs at 8-10% body fat. Needless to say, that guy can pack wieght. He helped out and he didn't even know me before this hunt. What a great time with a bunch of great guys.
I found this bull a week before the hunt in one of the places that 30buck said to check. I knew he was busted, but I figured I would get him fixed because he just looked to pretty on the good side. I knew once the broke side was restored he would be awesome. Not bad for my first elk.
