After years of applying I finally drew a Nevada tag. My usual deer rifle was in the gun smith's shop for repairs so I used my grandpa's 58 cal. muzzleloader. Last day of the hunt I spotted this buck at long range. It was so far I poured a little salt in the end of the barrel to help stop meat spoilage before I could hike to the buck. I held the Williams peep sight up about 6 or 8' over the bucks back and let fly. He went down upon impact of the bullet not to stir again. Later we estimated the buck to be at 657 yards give or take a foot.
