Here is my first OTC bull from Idaho.
We were working the very stubborn herd bull for the third time on Saturday afternoon and this guy came running into our set-up. He ran right up to me and presented a 5 yard shot! I couldn't pass it up after a weekend of being wet, sick and miserable.
Needless to say he didn't go very far. The pack-out was harsh since I had to hike in slightly farther and I wanted to find elk.
A few weeks prior I shot my first general mule deer as well. It was a severe case of mistaken identity when I stalked to the wrong bed and mistupidly slipped an arrow through the vitals of the wrong buck. Happy to have a full freezer though!
