Post rut, spot and stalk hunting for Pronghorn Antelope is challenging to say the least. Trying to do it alone while using an iron sighted muzzleloader, in such wide open country makes it even more challenging. After almost a week of trying to set up a sure shot, things finally came together on Saturday morning. In a herd of 12 does and three other bucks, this guy was the boss, and at a little over 14 inches, he is my biggest antelope buck so far. One shot to the heart at 125 yards did the trick, he never even knew I was there. Photo link below.
