My son finally made it to the "hunting age" and wanted to try for a deer with archery equipment, this being a crossbow at this time...We had hunted when he had time, through school and football time is very limited But last night he connected on this deer at 21yds and don't think the buck made 15 steps and he had expired. We also had his little brother there for the experience of a first hunt. He has one buck tag left, so hopefully the rut will bring him a bigger deer than this one, but hard to beat getting a deer at 20yds!!! (Sorry the pics are a bit bloody, but just couldn't get it cleaned up too well)
