First off thanks to all that helped. Special thanks to wyobowhunt. Here is what I now know about wyoming elk hunting.
1. To not be able to camp on state land is an absolute joke. This was a very big problem for us in a large unit with very limited camping.
2. I will never go back to wyoming without a 4 wheeler.
3. Large herds of elk and alot of them.
4. Wyoming folk are very friendly.
5.The wind in wyoming is no joke. We didnt hunt a couple mornings because of the wind.
6.If I ever draw again I will try and lock down some sort of trespass situation. We didnt have a problem finding elk on public land but it would make life alot easier for sure.
7. Alot of busted antler bulls late in the season.
8. All in all it was a great hunt. We went 1 for 2 during archery so my hunting partner is going back for rifle. Now if I can figure out how to post pics I will add a photo of my bull.
