So we can all agree something has to done about illegal immigration. If it is a wall, more border patrol agents, fencing, technology, E-verify, coming down hard on employers or a combination of all then you get my support.

If it truly is a national security debate then you all who are in love with Trump are not being even a little bit honest about where the true National Security Threat lies.

Check out the Trump's Own State Department's numbers on where terrorist infiltrate and attempt to enter. 3,776 came through airports and 6 through the southern border. They are more concerned about radical jihadist arriving from Canada rather that through Mexico.

So now we aren't paying the TSA agents and they are having a bout of the blue flu because of it, leaving airports more vulnerable access points and you all are still claiming this is about national security? If that is what you think then you are majoring in the minors again like all things Trump lovers enjoy: A fight without the slightest facts and doing as they are told.

In addition to costing the economy in lost productivity, there is additional costs of back pay, bringing the government back on line, massive loss opportunity costs on top of economic loss and tax revenue losses.

When you get off an international flight do you just onboard and wander into the airport? No. You enter A WALLED OFF area with border agents. Finding all those folks in airports only further supports the wall argument.

Second. WTF does tech do? So you fly a drone over the border, see illegals. THEN WHAT?

Do you believe not paying the security people at airports helps or hurts security at airports? Does not paying them and requiring them to work anyway help or hurt their morale and effectiveness?

You enter a walled off area? Yes you do that and then when an overworked and unpaid customs officer stamps your passport you move out into the unsecured area. For every time one suspected terrorist crosses at the southern border 630 attempt to get through our airports. So tell me how not paying these workers makes us more secure?

We are not paying the people at the airports who are the on the front lines stopping real terrorist.

For any Trump lover to claim the shutdown is about national security, they are either stupid or too far into the tank for Trump to sort out real threats and those made up by the orange hero.

There is probably some heroin coming from the south, but it would make far more sense that a bunch of it is coming from Afghanistan since production there has been booming since we've been there. Given the amount of traffic between the US and Afghanistan, it would be silly to assume they are bringing it in through the south boarder and walking it across the desert.

It does come from Mexico, but its driven through at check points, not carried in backpacks through the desert. Which of course makes the "wall" useless in the fight against heroin.
