Nebraska Mountain lion hunts

LAST EDITED ON Mar-28-14 AT 07:18PM (MST)[p]How about the rest of the story:

The same legislature voted 49-0 two years ago to allow a mountain lion season in Nebraska.

On LB671 the legislature had 28 votes to repeal the same law!

Kudos to Governor Dave Heineman for having the balls to veto it!

The antis are alive and well even smack dab in the middle of this country!! Watch out, none of us are immune to what's going on!

They started wandering in from South Dakota(Black Hills) and Wyoming over the last few years and have documented breeding populations in the NW corner of the state. When the toms "come of age" they get kicked out of the nest and start roaming east. They(all toms) have been killed as far east as Omaha(400+ miles) and many places in between over the last several years.

The season this year had a quota of 4 toms or until a female was killed. The 3rd animal was a female, so end of season.

And from the rest of this post you are seeing the rest of the saga!
