Need thoughts/input

We're looking at just doing a DIY hunt in NM this year. Thinking 51 or 52 1st rifle elk. I've guided my fair share of elk in Oregon and been a part of several dieing. That being said, we just want an opportunity to hunt. Getting 3 tags in a great unit is out of our budget. Just looking to shoot bulls, hopefully slightly better than raghorns..

Thoughts on 51/52 or any other units to recommend?

Good units. Hard to draw just like most nm units. Ive hunted 52 several time and have had success and failure. The hardest part will be drawing the tag as now diy at 6% tags for nr.
