This first buck was shot by my dads best friends son. His names Wyatt. Wyatt was only able to come and hunt friday saturday and sunday of last week so our primary concern when the two boys showed up was get them a buck. See both of them have never killed a deer and for them to both come up and shoot their first bucks not only on the exact same day but with an hour of eachother it was just amazing it made the entire hunt for everyone.

This next buck was shot on the exact same day but by my younger brother. It is also his first buck and this was his first day hunting since he had just gotten there friday night. Both of these bucks dropped saturday morning and i'll tell ya what to be there for both of em, and to see the excitement on both of these kids and be there while their being gutted and have to drag em both out it made the entire hunt worthwhile for all the effort we put into these deer.

This next buck is my buck. He's my biggest so far. I spooked him out from underneath a cedar at 25 yards and broke his spine then double lunged him. He wasn't one of the big ones i was after but it was the 9th day of the hunt, monday morning and i was tired and quite frankly he was good enough for me. I couldn't have been happier when i got to hold him, my first 4 point and i can't wait to try next year to better him.

Now here is my dads buck. He shot it yesterday morning on the very last day.
Now my dads been hunting for 31 years now, and he's never killed a 4 point. I told him friday night were gonna break this 4 point barrier and boy did he ever! Biggest buck of his life, and just being there being able to calm him down finally and get him rested steady and ranged and kneeled down and talking to him to tell him he's only a hundred put it right behind his front shoulder and drop him. The 240 gr. XT/Hp hornady did the job. He blew through the lung and blew apart the heart. So we start walking up and find blood on the ground, we followed it for about 50 yards and i hear "i've got more blood, i've got a body, OH MY GOD CASS I GOTTA 4 POINT! LOOK AT THIS THING!"
Heres how he layed.

Nice to see you guy had such good luck , but 12 shots is a lot shots for getting only 4 deer . What happened to the other 8 shots ?? I hope there aren't a few wounded deer running around . I ran into a guy last year bragging how he missed shots at 6 bulls with his muzzy , I hope he missed !!!!!!!! When you pull that trigger , you should be almost positive your going to hit your animal , other wise it TOOOO far .
