I will never buy a Leica product again. They refused to fix my LRF. Cottin' pickin' battery tab busted and they stated they cannot fix my only option was to buy a new one. HORSE CRAP. NEVER AGAIN.

Ouch, that sucks!
Personally i have had nothing but good luck with any of my Leica things, but i don't have their LRF, nor do i know any company that likes to back their range finders.
I had the "Bushnell warning" post a couple weeks ago, they wouldn't warranty their "elite" model bino's that got knocked out of calibration, but on the flip side, i have had a bushnell 800 LRF and have had awesome luck with it. let's just hope i don't need to have it fixed!!

Is that tab the metal piece that gets "juice flowing?" Maybe you can fix it yourself.

My dad owns the Leica LRF 800. It is powered by a 9 volt battery. Is yours the same? Is the broken piece the part that attaches to the battery? If so, maybe it could be repaired easily.......I would be happy to help.
