My hunting partner has arrowed another (he currently is the state record holder) potential state record Columbian Blacktail this archery season. Just running a tape on the antlers quickly, I tallied a gross score in the 160's and he'll net about 153". Although I'm an official measurer for CBH and P&Y I must say this is a GREEN score only and will still need to dry the complete 60 days. The animal will also need to be panel measured for CBH before acceptance. But still, it looks like he'll beat his old record by a couple of inches. I'll see if he'll let me post a photo of the brute.
Nice to know there are still some slammer blacktails roaming the hills on public land.
