Wanted to share my Dec. McGregor Oryx with you guys. What a dream come true and what a great animal to have the privilege to harvest in New Mexico. I hired Kiowa Hunting Service to guide me on my hunt and they were spot on with finding me a good bull far away from the crowd; I couldn't have done it with out them. It took us two stalks to get close enough for a comfortable shot off of the shooting sticks for me and at 370yards I let one fly right through the pump station. He went 60yards and piled up!! Everyone talked about how tough these animals are and how hard they are to bring down. I got a little lucky to make the perfect shot. (FYI I likely fired 300 rounds at 300 to 500yards before my trip.) The bull went 35-1/2inches with 8inch bases and the body was huge. By the way its true the meat is awesome!
