As this is my first post, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Steve Brott, from Colfax, CA. I've been hunting since I was a young man, and have never looked back, its what I love doing. If I had to choose my favorites, deer hunting would top the list with waterfowl a close second. What CA lacks in deer, it makes up for with a pretty awesome waterfowl migration. I run a youth hunt program, and currently coach for the local high school trap team. Both my kids, Justin (16), Emily (15), love hunting and fishing as well. My wife loves the outdoors, and enjoys watching, but has yet to pull the trigger, shes kind of a "work in progress" if you will. Anyhow, thanks for providing me with some enjoyable insight on your adventures, I look forward to more. Thanks, Steve

Welcome Steve, but this is not the EJH. You have introduced yourself to the folks here at MonsterMuleys.com!!!

LAST EDITED ON Jul-31-12 AT 05:00PM (MST)[p]LMAO!! Several people in Colfax tend to be that way.
Welcome aboard and expect any errors to be immediately brought to your and our attention!
By the way Topgun, he said EHJ, not EJH. :)

These Dusty Roads ain't streets of gold but I'm happy right where I'm at!
All these Perty little Western Belles are a Country Boys Dream!
They ain't got Wings or MM Halo's but they sure look good to me!

NickW---My fingers were working faster than my brain. Seems that as I'm approaching 65 that it's happening more and more often, LOL!

Welcome aboard! Don't worry about introducing yourself to the EHJ crowd on MM many of the members on here are probably on that site as well. I agree the waterfowl hunting in California is good in my two experiences. Big deer east of the Sierras not so in your area.

Man oh man! For a guy to overexpose himself to complete strangers is one thing, but were all friends right? Apologies for my aformentioned post(my first! I truly am gifted to find my way onto Monster Muleys, its truly a great website. As we move to the future, I plan on straightening myself up BEFORE I sit before the keyboard. As for Monster Muleys, good stuff, cant wait to contribute!

Bossbrott...I was born in GV and still have cousins there in and around GV. Nice town to "visit" from time to time. Welcome aboard here at MM.

Gator is just wising up and cutting to the chase. Like him I am tired of dilly dallying around. Horn porn or minimum 50% naked woman porn. What's it gonna be boss?! Make you choice wisely. :) Welcome to this group of misfits and adult juvenile delinquents!

STTM, EHJ is actually short for NEHJ which is actually short for NESFHJ which was shortened from NESFBHJ which is short for North East San Fransisco Bay Hairy Jew which is actually an acronym for Overton. Hope this helps.

We were able to close the distance to snap some pics before the shot, and this is the last one before the hammer dropped.

Nice photos Boss. Is that a CA buck? Thanks and welcome.

What's a(n) EHJ? I don't quite believe 1911:) Except I'm sure overton is involved.

Welcome. I moved to SW Idaho from Grass Valley, CA myself 8.5 years ago and find more and more reason to be on Monster "Muleys" since moving here and less time on duck forums. You hunt the refuges in CA? I do miss Gray Lodge openers! Very fun. Nice buck for your son!!
