Here is one of my boys shooting my new toy, 300 win mag with a brux barrel, jewel trigger, McMillian stock. I dipped it in Kryptek Typhon. I topped her off with a Vortex Razor HD 5-20x50 Tactical Rifle Scope

What length is that barrel and what kind of velocity are you getting out of it?

The rifle looks sweet ! Need a few close up shots of it. But I am thinking you need a shooting bench next .;-)

Its a 26" barrel with the mussel break puts it at 28" and I haven't put a chronograph of her yet. After I get load she likes then I will chrono it and see what kind of speed she kicks out.

That's my next project is to build a good solid shooting bench.

I'm getting there with the load development. 69.2 grains of RE-22, now to play with the seating depth. I'm averaging 2895 FPS with this load.

Looks really good to me!!!
The skip-flutes are killer cool.

Who's muzzle brake did you use?

What's the finished weight of the rig?

I'm in the middle of a rifle build but I'm trying to decide on a stock. I like the McMillan but those things have some serious weight to them. Add that to the 3.5 pound barrel along with an appropriate scope and the overall weight is almost getting out of hand for my application.

I put a vais break on it and it weighs in at 12.5 lbs.

That is bad-a$$! And by the size of that group it shoots as good as it looks.

Thanks littlemonster,
I figured it was about that weight. With my rifle in the works, I'm trying to get what I want in a rifle and hit 9.5 lbs total. I could live with 10 but it'll be a carry rifle. I think with a fluted Bartlein #3 heavy sporter it's do-able unless I go crazy on the scope or stock
It's easy to hit a lighter weight but hopefully it shoots like yours.. like I want. Therein lies the challenge sometimes.
Thank you again for the reply.
