I’m booked to hunt Glenn Dean, Red Stag on the South Island end of this April and I’m thinking of taking my Raven Crossbow.
Anyone done something like this and could give some feedback on the airline / NZ legal process? I’m still a bit undecided if it’s worth dealing with the bow travel issues or better to spend my week sizing up stags and shooting the one for me with their rifle.
I’m looking for an enjoyable experience mixing it up with Stags and Fallow deer, and I’m good with trying with my Raven first but I’m not married to it on this type of hunt - given all things considered.
