Thinking about buying these glasses for this season. I will be hunting ridges with timber and open sage areas. Anybody offer any opinions on them?

The Nikon Monarch ATB is & has been, a standard in the industry in that price range for years, however, the options have improved in the last couple of years. IMO I think you would be better served with the Minox #62153 BD 10x42 BL. It is slightly brighter and crisper for a few dollars less.

If there is anything else that I can assist you with please let me know.

I think your choice of binocular is good, but I would take a look at the 8x42. I have found that the 10X is just too big to hold steady, especially those quick glances with one hand. I've had the 8X42's for a few years now and I can't say enough good things about them. They are plenty powerfull, lighter, and much easier to hold steady, which is critical in not only identifing animals quickly, but judging them as well.

Great glass for the $$ & a no questions asked no fault warranty.
