Long time lurker, first time poster.
I’ve been hunting the 2nd archery elk season here in unit 53 for a week and have done double digit miles hiking each day. I’ve been above middle fork lake, through midnight meadows, both sides of foster park canyon, and all over east side of baldy. Lots of sign but it’s all old. I also seemed to find every hillside full of windfall. The rut doesn’t seem to be on and the bulls aren’t herded up (from what I can tell).
If anyone has a charity suggestion of where to look, I’d be forever grateful. I know this is a Hail Mary.
