No vet oryx again, but 6c bull will do!

can't seem to nab that veterans oryx tag! I've been trying since they started to offer it. Oh well, I'm pumped 2 years 2 elk tags. I'm ready for 6c. Heard its tough, but I'm up for the challenge!

hey congrats on the 6c tag. Word of advice start calling the Espanola Ranger District, and pressure them to open up the parts of the unit still closed due to the Los Conchas Fire. If they get enough pressure from the public they will open it they cant cut down every hazard tree in that whole area the main reasons its closed...

Thanks. Good point. I'll start calling monday. I have my forrest maps, blm maps, and then I downloded a after action map of the las conchas. that way I can compare them and see where my first scouting trip will be. I can look at the maps all day but i really wanna get boots on the ground to see whats still bad and what may hold some possibilities.
