NOLEN KNIVES

I have a R.D Nolen knife that a hunter I guided gave me back in the early 90s. I just came across it today I kinda forgot about it stored in the back of my dresser drawer. I was just wondering if anyone on here can tell me anything about these knives. It is about 7" long and has a tooled leather pouch, the note I have with it says the handle is cape buffalo horn.

They have a web site, just search under "Nolen Knives" and you will reach their web site. I believe R.D. Nolen was the father and started making knives in the 40's. He passed away and his son now makes the knives.
I am not sure what steel they are using, but if started in the 40's it should have been a high carbon steel and not stainless steel. There is a phone number on the web site page and a call to the son should answer any question you have.
