I have these bushnell 12 x50 . I can see this oily looking stuff on 2 of the lenses that doesnt come off . The oily stuff doesnt cover the whole lens just part of it. I usually cleaned it with tissue and water for the lenses . I ask is there away to get that oily looking stuff , and what is it ? Thanks in advance for help.

If your binoculars are the of the Legend line, the oily stuff might be from the lubricant Bushnell uses on the inside of the twist up eye cups. If the binoculars become warm enough, this lubricant could become fluid and travel onto the lenses. A bad design.

Use a blow dryer to warm the lense and use rubbing alchohol and a cotton ball to clean the substance off.
