Old Brass

I know there are several on this site that reload, but I have not heard anyone discuss recycling old brass. Does anyone sell their old brass for scrap? If so, do you need to punch out the old primers and what is brass going for these days?

I am building quite a collection of old unusable brass.

Thanks

I've done it.The place where I took it didn't require primer removel.They just weight it and paid me.I got 90 cents a pound.This was a while back,they might be paying more now.Things vary with differant recyclers.

Jef;
I wish big time I was only paying .95 cents per pound for my S30V stainless steel. Had a price increase and I am now just paying a little over 2 dollars per inch for 5/32 X 1 1/2 inch size.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the info. I will put my old stuff together and subsidize my reloading cost a little.

By the way, I broke down and purchased 100 new 7MM casings and resized them into 264's last night. The old stuff is history and a new tracking system has been installed.

What rifle do you shoot in .264? I love Pre-64 Model 70's and am seriously considering one in .264. Would love your thoughts on why you like the round...
Thanks!

If the brass is in relatively good condition and only needs to be cleaned you could sell it online and make more than what you'd get from a recycling place. Especially if it's rare brass.
