Getting ready to shot my new Omega .45 Cal. I have choosen the BM3 powder and the new Kleanbore primers to avoid the infamous "crud ring" but my question is concerning bullet choices. For mule deer and antelope is 215 grain bullet going to be a good choice. I haven't seen much here about .45 Cal so just looking for some input on bullet sizes for these two big game animals.

A bad day hunting still beats working!

The best .45 cal bullet that I have found is the 240 gr dead center bullet. It is solid lead with a polimer tip. You can buy them out of Cabelas. I buy mine directly from prbullets.com. They are the ones that make them. These bullets are a little longer, and super accurate. I shot a deer at 125yds and the bullet went through both shoulder and was just inside the hide. It looked almost like a quarter when I found it. It was 2 1/2 the origanal size and retained like 85% of its original weight. I have also killed two elk with these bullets. I would feel confident in shooting anything with these.
