Hey guys. We're planning on buying some general region tags for Wyoming mule deer this year. (struck out in the draws in colorado) My question is this: When we buy a general region tag, do we have to specify which hunt area? Or is the tag valid for any unit in the region we choose? Thanks for clarification in advance.

take a look at the WG&F website, and find the deer area map under the nonresident rules and regs section. The various regions are delineated on the map. There's a summary of the units within each region listed along the margins of the map. The units that are Limited Quota are denoted in RED, and they're not open under the general region only tag/permit. You can hunt the remainder of the units within the region with the tag you're thinking of picking up. In most regions, that's a sizeable amount of real estate. Dates, etc., can also be found in that nonresident rules and regs section. Good luck, have fun, and get a good one if you go for it.
