Probably never make the SUPERSLAM but since I'm going to buy an Oregon hunting license to apply for sheep, should I apply for columbian whitetail also? OR is supposed to bet he only place you can get the Columbian. Only cost $8. I might get the Super 25 since its a new catogory for Grand Slam members.

It's only another $8 if you're applying for sheep so you might as well. It may take 12+ pts to guarentee the tag but you've always got a random chance at a few tags each year.

The only huntable population is in Oregon in the Umpqua watershed.

The BLM public land North Bank is difficult to draw, and way over-rated right now. BLM management hasn't done a very good job at keeping whitetail on their "pristine" property, and many of their whitetail have drifted off across to private land that is better managed for deer.

Landowner tags are the easiest way to hunt Columbians...and most likely most expensive way, maybe. I know a few local guys with lots of whitetails on their ground, I don't know what they'd charge. I'll ask them sometime if I get around to it.
