OTC antelope

been in colorado a few months and i spent all my time researching deer and elk. Well at work today i guy was telling me colorado has OTC archery antelope in some areas??? Definitely going to start looking into it. any other information from you long time residents would be great

LAST EDITED ON Jun-09-16 AT 07:54PM (MST)[p]There's usually some leftover rifle tags available the first part of August as well, the majority of which are in units lopsidedly private. Page 49 of the big game brochure has the map of otc archery antelope units. Good luck!

thanks DW. the wife dream a NM elk tag and keeps rubbing it in my face so I'm needing to go out and hunt something!

A few have small sections where there might be a couple on private, but having lived in my town since I was little, I can honestly say that in the 12 OTC antelope units I spend all my time in, I have never seen a single antelope in any of them! I live in rifle, and some of the units have never had antelope and other units the old timers have not seen lopes in the unit since the 40s

there are a lot more than 12 OTC archery antelope units going off of what DW stated..... looking at the proclamation id say theres 50-60, I'm not counting but just at a glance. and in the area I've been working I've seen a ton and coming From NM i know northern NM is loaded with goats so the southeast side of the state id imagine would have a lot of them as well.... all the units along i25 in the southern portion I've seen them as well but i do agree its probably hard to access with all the private.

All ya can do is knock on some doors tallpine. You'd be surprised how many are receptive to antelope hunters, especially stick flippers. Good luck!
