Ok so Im looking at who I might be able to voe for next time around already. Gotta keep looking ahead kinda like the yearly application draw here in AZ. "well I didnt draw crap this year so hopefully I'll get one next year."
I think im switching parties anyways the mainstream polis are full of horseshiite and I am staring to like Ron Paul. I shoulve been paying more attention back then but I didnt and I think alot of Americans were that way. I dont know what the enigma is about a party that is not Dem or Rep. Few of them are worth a crap anymore

I hear you. No one looks good right now. We need another Ron Reagan.

A word of wisdom: vote Republican for President. That is, if you don't want socialism, if you don't want the second amendment to be water down even discarded in the dust bin of history (think not? what about the collective right of members of miltia interpretation of the second amendment? what about the "incorporation doctrine does not apply to the second amendment" interpretation? both of which are the position of Judge Sotomayor, by the way, Obumble's candidate for supreme court justice). Another word of wisdom, don't voter for an independent -- independents are totally irrelevant. Please identify to me an independent presidential candidate who has had any relevance. Independents just take votes away from one or the other of the Republican or Democratic candidate for president. Just my humble opinion.

Maybe that is our problem. We as the people have put so much truct into the candidates of "our" individual party whether it be dem or rep. I think we have missed a few things in doing so and should probably give someone else an opportunity. We have been following along the party lines for so long now that it has become detrimental to us all as a nation i think.
To vote other than the major party lines is to give a vote away to someone else I understand, what we need to do is all realize that these people are knuckleheads and meet in the middle to vote for someone along the common lines of the people and the ideals of this country.
That is my .02

Ronald Reagan? No thanks.

Those weren't the good ol' days.

Paying 18% interest rates on mortgages still doesn't sound good.....among other things.

Obama just rewrote private contracts between Chrysler and Senior Bondholders, which sets precedent for Him to rewrite the mortgage rate on your existing mortgage and change it retroactively to whatever he wants. Can you imagine if you had been paying 6% interest for years, and Obama came in and said, "From now on it will be 14%." That is literally what he did with Chrysler bondholders. The same legal precedents apply in each scenario, if he can do one, he can do the other.

Luckily Justice Ginsburg (a Liberal) put a stop on it...it was that ludicrous.

At least the market set the rates during Reagan, and then corrected them to where they should've been.

What Obama is doing is terrifying to anybody who understands history and The Rule of Law.

I think Obama will be re-elected. I hope not, but unfortunately
the majority of the population wants to "be taken care" of by
the government.

I would say Obama will be president for two terms, after that I think the republican star might be Jon Huntsman Jr. I think the Bush memories and changing demographics are going to keep us from having a far right or religious right wing contender. Although a lot can happen in a few years.

I am as independent as they come and very conservative. That said I am a registered republican and am going to vote for the democrats and republicans. I will vote for McCain's opponent in our primary but if McCain is the candidate I will vote for the democrat. If a democrat is running for re-election I will vote for the republican. Balance of power is critical but the fact that our congress considers their jobs a lifetime gig and time corrupts I say vote out any incumbent regardless of party. That is a change THEY can believe in. The "citizen politician" is no longer. We are led by a bunch of professional marketing people who sell us bullcrap for a living.

Why do we have to. I mean is there not one honest one out there interested in doing what is right?
I dont think Obama will be re-elected. I believe alot of people will wake up and see that what he is doing with our nation has never worked throughout the history of the world and it wont work now.
and yes he and his ilk are scary, at least from a standpoint of seeing what he could be capable of. Cannot anyone see that Govt control of private companies is communist/socialist whatever you want to call it. If a biz cannot keep itself aboe water then it should fail and if it can rebuild. We need someone who understands this and believes that nothing in this world is too big or smart to die or fail and needs to be run by comppetent business people.
We as a people need to start thinking outside the party line thing i think.

Huckleberry is a joke, he'll never be elected. if Newt keeps moderating and trying to appeal to a broader base he has a shot at it. he used to seem radical before the Rove- Cheney days but by todays standards for republicans he's a moderate, and way smarter than the Palin type american idol candidates. Jindal is still a contender, he may look like a dork but he's no dumby, we have our first black president we'll see if america is ready for Apu.

Think about it all you want but unless Obama has a major meltdown he will be reelected, better hope for the worst if you want that to change.

I doubt America would vote in two minoritys in a row, Newt has baggage, he is no dummy, but I still remember some of his stunts from the Clinton days, like talking about having congress listen to the Rush Limbaugh show, the guy is mostly an opportunist.

True, I was just trying to think of the smartest best known republican without a criminal record who could run, Newt is about it.

Why doesn't Rush step up to the plate that should be a riot, he says he's on loan from god so I bet god would loan him to the whitehouse position for a few years whouldn't he? probably not, he's too important in his current position of keeping idots pacified on the radio.

since when did a criminal record become important. the Obama admin is a who's who of thugs for hell sake

Rush could not afford the pay cut.

Huckabee is not the guy to lead the party out of the wilderness either. I am not sure Newt has broad enough appeal.

My own opinion is that the focus should be on gaining seats in congress. Unless Obama really trips up or the fawning media turns on him he will be a two term president.

>Thank god Schwarzenegger is not a
>natural born citizen.

Man, You got that right!.....Another RINO... he could use a "Math Lesson" also

Arnold is a "fake Republican"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger says he's "happy" illegal immigrants get state services and says they're not to blame for California's $24.3 billion budget gap.

Schwarzenegger, an immigrant himself, says the estimated $4 billion to $5 billion the state spends on illegal immigrants annually is a "small percentage" of the deficit.
