over the counter tag advice

is there an area in the north west for non resident elk or mulies to buy over the counter tags. looking for advice on where, when and what to expect. thanks

All the Over the Counter Deer tags sold out in June.

All the Over the Counter Spike Elk tags sold out August 28th.


There are some General Bull Elk tags available for Rifle but there are no Open areas in the North West area of the State.

Kinda leaves you hanging out to dry unless you purchase a Landowner tag... they are available still. Plenty of tags in other areas of the State... suggest call the DNR in Ogden but not on Fridays... they are closed.
