pan handle deer areas

Moving up to Post falls in a few days. Was wondering if anyone has any pointers on areas within reasonable distance of there where i can hunt in the afternoon/ evenings as i will be getting off work about 2 in the afternoon. thanks

No shortage of hunting areas up there. Just get out of town. If you are North or East, hunt the clearcuts, or head south and get down Plummer way and hunt the rolling fields/timber. You really are moving up into a hunting meca...

South has some good deer. You can hunt on the res for ten bucks they sell the liscense at fins and feathers. The more serious whitetail guys all seem to go to Unit 1 though. Longer drive, but I think they have better deer up north.
