I'm thinking about making or buying a metal pedestal for a mule deer mount.
Have any of you done this? Would you mind sharing photos if you have?

Heres a couple pictures of the pedestal that I recently built for my 2014 bull. Should be getting him back from the taxidermist this week, so for now all I have are the pictures of the base. I let the taxidermist do the plaster for the ground scene. I included a picture of the frame as well - finished with a natural stain on T&G beatle kill.

This is a base I made out of core 10 steel that is designed to rust. The front is glass and has lights installed so I can display a grouse below the deer that is sitting in top. Just waiting on my taxidermy buddy to catch up so we can mount the deer.
