The story
OK, so this wasn't a test. It worked. First time posting pics on this site. So here is the story.
Utah, General, Central
I was planning on hunting with my brother and a friend and they both couldn't make it at the last minute. I went to a place that was close and easy to keep my wife from worrying about being alone. I can't take my wife on short notice because as my name infers, I have 3 young daughters. For the last three years, I have been trying to get a buck early because my wife has purchased a tag and I wanted to go with her, but she didn't want to go with me until I got one. I was really excited that my wife went through hunter safety and has been interested in Big Game hunting. I have been anxious to see if she would actually shoot at a deer. She and I both were unsure if she could do it. Back to my story. Opening morning came and I told my friend that even though I wanted to get a buck quickly, I was only shooting 3 point or better. Before shooting light I hiked in about 20 minutes and glassed. Wouldn't you know it, I spotted a deer and as it got later, I saw that it was a small two point buck. Keeping to my plan, I decided not to shoot it. After about 10 more minutes another buck showed up and I decided that this one was a shooter. 211 yards out, I pulled the trigger and I knew I had hit it. I walked up and it was only 20 yards from where I shot it. The next Monday, my wife and I went out to the same spot and found the 2 point and she got a shot at 120 yards. A little buck fever and she missed, BUT, she is hooked on the adrenaline rush and it looks like I have found another hunting partner, one I can not feel bad about sleeping with. Long story but you didn't have to read it if you didn't want to.
