Does anybody have any information about getting dropped off in the wilderness on a bear hunt from an airplane? I'm thinking about taking my daughter when she graduates in a few years. I have no idea who to get in touch with or the cost of something like this. Not looking to be a guided, just looking to get dropped off.

That's why I'd try the ranches first. Those are private strips and I'm not sure when some of those public wilderness strips get open. Chamberlain basin is 6000 feet and a bunch of others I've been to are that high or higher. It's still snowing above 4000, or it was last week.
