Fall will be staring us in the face before we know it. I would like to start planning my summer scouting schedule for muleys and more specifically, I'd like to return to Wyoming this year. Its been good to me and I love it's challenging yet intriguing adventure it offers. I would specifically like to return to G and settle some unfinished business with a buck from the 2017 season. I'm a non-res so this is my attempt to locate some points help. I'm not sure what the magic points number it will take to draw but I'm sure it will be above 5. What I'm looking for.....an individual with 11 points or a group that will average above 5 with an applicant carrying 0 points. I'm open to trade ideas, such as help scouting pre season etc. I do not do this as a source of income. I am not a guide. I cannot promise a trophy. I do have horses and pack equipment which can be used to set a spike camp or base camp, I am certainly open to helping in that way. I've hunted western Wyoming G and H since 2002 with 10+ seasons of knowledge specific to these units. I hunt both off horseback and from a backpack. I generally use horses for scouting and learning new area so I can put on some miles. Sometimes I leave the animals at home and simply wander from basin to basin like a lost wolf. G and H are not easy hunts in any way shape or form. Good/great conditioning and basic to above average knowledge of the backcountry will be needed to ensure a quality and successful hunting trip in this area. The potential for a quality buck(180+) is ALWAYS there. I speak in gross inches generally. I know some are wanting out of the points game, so if this sounds like an answer to your dilemma, let's have a conversation and see if the pieces fit into a picture with you experiencing some of the most breathtaking mule deer country the west has to offer.

Some pics from past Wyoming adventures.
Enjoy

Looks like a good time and some beautiful country ! You have a handsome little cowboy to help out with future pack outs!

Congratulations you have been on some great hunts.

It looks like you've got what it takes to get it done on the big bucks

Wouldn?t you have more interest in your offer by posting this on the Wyoming forum?

Thanks guys, I didn't even realize I had posted this to the general forum. (Thought I had posted to the mule deer).

LAST EDITED ON Feb-25-19 AT 11:35AM (MST)[p]Move to Wyoming and get all the benefits! I love the hunting opportunities but the -temps and wind are what keeps the Riff Raff from living here. Good luck in the draw, I enjoy your hunt reports.[font face="verdana" color="green"]
