I drew an early rifle elk tag on Fishlake. If anyone would be open to a phone call I'd love to discuss the unit with anyone that knows it. My cell is 240-409-3263. I'm not able to hike much due to back and knee issues but I should have access to a 4-wheeler to get away from the main roads. I'll be heading down for some scouting trips in Aug and early September. Any help is appreciated. Thx!
 
You have the cream of the crop tag with the early hunt. Go down and scout the unit and locate elk. The bulls will move around when the rut starts, but during your hunt you will be able to locate them when they are bugling.
