Please explain the License types

I have looked and can't find on the Wyoming web page an explanation of the license types. What is a type 1, type 2, type 3, type 6, type 7, etc. Also in order to make plans I would like to know not only the start date to the season but an end date. Why doesn't Wyoming give an end date to their seasons?

To your first question, page 7:

To your second: Wyoming doesn't set the quotas and season lengths until the spring, so your best bet is to consult last years regulations to get an idea. You might also be able to consult the biologist for the area to get an idea.

LAST EDITED ON Feb-27-13 AT 07:44PM (MST)[p]Type 2 sometimes has different hunting dates or is for a certain part of the unit compared to the type 1 tag that normally covers an entire unit. It might also be only good on private property while the type 1 is for the entire unit, etc. If you look in the season dates section of the website for a particular animal, it will show the type tags available and what each is for.
