LAST EDITED ON Jan-02-11 AT 06:48PM (MST)[p]The rubber gloves the Warden has on tells me he is gathering the head for evidence in an illegal poaching activity, not to have his picture taken because it was taken legally! I hope someone comes forward with information or they have enough evidence to find and convict the culprit(s)! They should not only have huge monetary penalties, but also should lose all their equipment and receive a lifetime ban from hunting. That would also carry over to 30+ states that are in the Wildlife Violator Compact!!!
I think rather than a hunting ban and a small fine slap on the wrist Maybe they should just take em up top of the tetons and strip em down and tell them we'll be back to check on ya in the spring
I have a pictures of this same one and it was sent to me a week or so before Christmas in a Christmas card from a friend in WYO. Stated it was poached between Big Piney and LaBarge on the Green River on private property.
Seems like we have been experiencing higher than normal poaching in Wy this year.Several incidents have occurred near Evanston as well(a month or two ago).I don't know what we can do to stop this from happening, but I'm damn sure getting sick of it.I'll guarantee you only a fraction of these cases gets found out about. You guys from Utah that are fighting about how to improve your buck quality should take a good hard look at drastically increasing poaching penalties.Poachers rarely take small bucks and does. How much would quality improve if there was no poaching??Not much makes my blood boil worse than poaching SCUM!Winter range/trophy poaching should be made a FELONY.Those convicted can NEVER hunt again, nor possess ANY firearm!!
I'd more than go along with the thoughts in that last post, as well as taking up to the top of the Tetons like another mentioned. Nothing is too drastic IMHO to put a stop to this chit!!!
that is thats to bad i have herd of that buck and went out looking for him a couple of times but never saw him that really chaps my ass i'll have to call him to go see it.
