You picked a good year not to have tags. I just got back from the Ukiah unit. I have hunted this unit for 30 years and pulled out some good bucks in the 90's. This year I didn't see a deer in the woods until the 4th day and they ran like I was satin when they saw me at 150 yards away. Perfect hunting coditions just no animals. Pretty scary, I think we seen maybe five deer hanging in camps. Pretty depressing, lets just say I won't be going back until the cougar law changes which will never happen with the portland people running the votes.

lets see, its 9 days into the genaral season by now all the dumb deer are already dead, so whats left are the bucks that have spent the last 10 months dodging Mt.Lions and such, this may take awhile....LOL
