Did any of you see the gigantic teleprompter at the back of the room for Obama's press conference. WTF the dude can not answer a question on his own. For every question he was asked an answer was put up on the teleprompter for him. You know call Bush what ya want but at least the man could speak to the press with out a teleprompter for God's sake. At least he was man enough to to talk right from the gut, even though he had many gaffes that you Bush bashers love to beat him with. This teleprompter business for Obama is Manchurian Candidatesque if you ask me. What a friggin tool!

He says the darndest things and if he wasn't a democrat he would be roasted daily in the press.

LAST EDITED ON Mar-25-09 AT 09:20PM (MST)[p]I'm not an Obama supporter, I'm Libertarian which is the exact opposite, but I just watched the press conference and I never saw the teleprompter on once the question portion started, only during the opening monologue. Did I just miss something?

I don't want to see the Obama Opposition resort to petty attacks from far-right loons without checking the facts for themselves. We have plenty of legitimate problems to go after him on that truly do affect our lives.

grizzly, it even made headlines on MSNBC! and he is the second coming to them.

I wouldnt normally care, but when he was running all we heard from the press was how nice it was to hear a cantidate so articulate and well spoken( a jab at GWB), before long he will refuse to answer live questoins, press will have to submit them by email!but if they keep up the tough questions like, "how do you feel about A-ROD'S steroid use", he should be ok.

LAST EDITED ON Mar-26-09 AT 01:55AM (MST)[p]Perhaps that teleprompter thing should be used more often by members of the RNC. Steele sure could of used one while on DL Hugley's show.

Amazing that the RNC has shutdown Steele's blog site after the Limbaugh comments...good thing Limbaugh isn't the spokesperson for the RNC. Looks like the old Token is Broken, I guess the GOP wasn't really ready to go after the HIP HOP vote quite yet.

FTW, since you completely avoided the topic of the thread with your response.....what is your take on Obama's use of the teleprompter in his news conference yesterday?

Do you believe the teleprompter helps to cover his mistakes and lack of knowledge or is it possibly something else that causes him to use a teleprompter to answer questions in a press conference?

Great Clip...

According to Fox News..."The teleprompter was no help during the question-and-answer session (reporters don't signal their intentions), but Obama was no less careful during that give and take."

The teleprompter only was on during the prepared monologue, which all presidents use, they are just usually the clear glass version on either side of the podium.

It was fun to watch him squirm at FNC's Major Garrett's question, though.

He took the "office of the President elect" November 5TH. Five months in office. Remember he is the FIRST person to hold the "office of the President elect"

So what was w doing during that time?

this is it, this is what's controlling the opposition, if this is all they have on obama that's worth discussion the dems are safe.

. . everyone that's not brain dead knows that every one, even the news broadcasters and Bush II used a prompter. . . I still cant believe this is THE straw that the right is grasping. . .

I'm not a big supporter of the current economic plans, but come on lets get some real dialogue started . . .

I still cant believe the republican party has not gotten it together enough to develop a plan or even a coherent, realistic response and when they have gotten close, it's still too recent that they were the spend, spend, spend, take private liberties, anti states rights party that most are a little reluctant to trust them now that they are once again "conservatives."

BO is the first to use the teleprompter to ANSWER questions. Obviously knowing what the questions from the media would be ahead of time. Modern day presidents used the telprompter only for SPEECHES. That is the difference.

BO talked of transparency during the campaign. His "town hall style meeting" is a contradiction.

Questions from the internet were screened and selected ahead of time. All the while giving a "town hall style" description of the event. A real town hall meeting would screen participants. With the possibility of a real question.

Zigga,
Bush sure as heck didn't use a teleprompter constantly, the man is a complete moron!!!!! Lets see now he is firing CEO's of companys, can we say socialism!! good grief... America was so lied to, to get this man to where he is, complete shame.

LAST EDITED ON Apr-06-09 AT 10:14AM (MST)[p]One thing I have learned in the past year or so is that I can't believe a word you rightys say anymore. You guys claimed that Obama was a muslim, then he has close ties with a domestic terrorist and several other jaw dropping bs stories and now you are saying w didn't always use teleprompters and Obamas brain can't function without one.

Where exactly do you guys get your info anyway? Desperate and pathetic is all I get from some of you. Please carry on though. Maybe someday you'll be right about something.

How do you explain the fact that Obama did better in the debates?

Zigga you think he did better because you heard him say he would hand out freebies to 95% of the populous.

Nice references. Oh wait, you don't have any.

There are American muslims dying for this country so I don't want to make it sound like being a muslim is a bad thing. Just the extremists but that goes with any religion.

Still wondering where you rightys get your information. I'm sure there are plenty of references on the internet that say just about anything so this should be good.

I wonder how many other country leaders at the summit bowed to the Saudi King?

None, only Obowma!

The man is a closet muslim and he's starting to come out.

I'll have to give you and Dude and Piper T-Final credit you try to use reason. But it has the same effect that on this hard head Lab with no ability I tried to work with for a year. In the end I had to write it off as a failure. In the end, in hindsight the dog may have had more reasoning ability than some posters on here.

Yeah, like the muslim soldier back in 2003 that fragged his company commander and opened fire on his fellow soldiers because he had conflicting loyalties. Hopefully he will be dying for this country soon. I do agree that all muslims arent bad. There are those that conform to islam so they dont get stoned in the streets, hung from light poles, or decapitated with rusty cutlery are mostly decent people just trying to survive.

yes sir, it would appear we are making the very same mistakes that the romans did. Now where's that hunting spot? ;)

It's funny to hear these guys complain about the current administration after the disasterous 8 years we just got through..........and the things they are complaining about; A friggin teleprompter, a bow and an indirect Special Olympic remark. Good grief!

I still gotta see that bow. It must've been a doozy.

Zigga likes seeing an American President grovel before a raghead.

w did it way better. There's no denying that.

3blade, I could not agree more, the Romans fell because they were forced to fight too many battles on too many fronts, they could not sustain the fight, the army'ss got weak and wiser and started demanding more and so goes the Romans, gone because they thought they could take over the world. . .

The downfall of the Roman Empire came from within not from trying to conquer the world. They became corrupt and spent money like it grew on trees, remind you of any powerful countries of today?

T, watch that video Vilkas posted. Its only 10 minutes and explains it all very well. Very good section about Rome and why they collapsed and it just happens to be the same thing we're doing. Once the Republic and the rule of law was dismantled the Oligarchy(our Prez/Congress) took control and yes, spent money beyond belief. Lots of parallels to whats happening today right before our very eyes and both parties are guilty, one party just does it slower than the other.
