Private Not Always a Guarantee

Had a wonderful hunt in Co Unit 84 this past week. Hunted private and hunted hard, just didn't see the buck I wanted to harvest. Saw a ton of deer and elk and passed on a couple of okay deer. Fortunate enough to make a friend of the outfitter/landowner for future years. Personally, I don't have to kill something to have a blast. Sunrises, sunsets and the terrain were spectacular.

Yeah this ranch 2 weeks ago had 4 bachelor groups with 160-180 inchers and they broke up and flat out disappeared. I expect this weekends 3rd rifle to be on. We almost hit a big 4x4 at 6 am on Sat am walking across the highway....he never even looked up at us and we almost locked 'em up. They just went nocturnal on us. That's why you call it hunting. It can happen on private and public.
