I love hunting everything out west. But I really enjoy the antelope, and antelope hunting Photos.

Can we start an Antelope Photo Album thread for all the Pronghorn Junkies to drool over during the offseason? I would love it and I think lots of other hunters would also.

I'll try to prime the pump with some personal favorites.

Time to put the camera down for a shot (with the bow). Done, take another quick shot (with the camera).

Not the biggest lope in the county, but big fun and something to improve on for this year.

Great pictures guys! mtmiller, I'm assuming MT? That is a beautiful pronghorn. Nice black face. That one picture almost looks like you were in a tower blind? I'm archery hunting pronghorn for the first time in MT this year. Can't wait! Any tips that you can offer would be greatly appriciated.

Thanks, Ric

outstanding! nothing helps a guy daydream about fall like all these great pictures. I find it hard to be a trophy hunter where antelope are concerned because they are so darn delicious.
I usually hold out for the first one I can get on.

I can smell the sage and dust in the air...

Thanks for the pics guys. I wish I could go this year, just to many other things going on.

I'm sure these have all been on here before. Hard to compete with Miller's "whole story" series. Excellent sequence of photos.

I love em, cant you just smell the sage, the dust, that dry medicinal smell of an antelope. Frost on your sleeping bag, campfire smoke in your nose. A shot of crown as the sun goes down. The warm comforting heft of an overweight bed roll after a long day of hiking. Man I'm jonesing. Only 6 months to go.

Fishing helps soothe that longing, but not entirely.

more photos, they're great.

Great photos and Congrats on some nice pronghorns.

Mt Miller, Wow what a photo, that blood was pumping out like a stuck pig. What kind of broadhead were you using?

Ok I will add a few from this last year. These are clients goats and they are pretty nice animals. I really liked the Sloped Goat he was incredible to see on the hoof. The 2nd goat was a great animal he was just over 16 and grossed book.

LAST EDITED ON Apr-28-07 AT 10:38PM (MST)[p]This is my favorite. This buck was harvested by a great MI hunter with his .257 Weatherby at 423 yards. The most awesome shot I have seen.

LAST EDITED ON Apr-28-07 AT 10:36PM (MST)[p]My next favorite. We watched this buck in a pasture all summer only to lose him come September. He was by himself all summer. When we did luck out and find him he was with all the girls. No wonder....he grossed 86.5 and netted 85.5 B&C.

help! How do you get pictures loaded? Some of the files are very large so i'll probably need to resize.
Thanks

Hey SHB, you got any more pictures of your hunting camp(s)???

I love checking out all the pictures from a hunt, not just the 'got one down' shot. For the last few years I've been making a conscious effort to take more pictures of the whole experience. After the season is over either on a cold winter night or even on a hot summer evening nothing is better than a hot cup of joe (with a little nip in it) or a cold beer and my favorite hunting photo albums...

I must be gettin' sentimental or somethin'!

Keep those pictures coming...I'll dig more out as well.

I think the same way wildbob, I'll have to get some more of them uploaded. Here's another of my favorites from last years hunt.

looks like everyone is drawing tags and starting to jones for some sagebrush. Time to drag out more photos.

If it has to do with antelopes lets see it. Camps, rifles, rigs, scouting, bucks, does, they all help pass the time.

Hey SHB,

Where in Western Nebraska is that picture from? Looks like some country I used to hunt up there.

Hoping to add more this year. We both have MT, NM, NV pronghorn tags, and I have UT and WY pronghorn tags. Sounds like heaven to me.

Happy Hunting!

Big Fin that sounds like an awesome fall adventure. Its like the TdSG - Tour de Speed Goat.

Do you drag a trailer and a freezer, or how do you get all those goats home?

SHB:

"TdSG - Tour de Speed Goats" Now that is funny. I like that.

We will be bringing coolers with dry ice to cool them off as soon as we shoot them. Always a concern when you are hunting pronghorn in the early fall.

Hope you get/got your tags this year.
