I found this buck in 2008, just a few days after I shot a 172" buck. This happened TWO years in a row! I felt blessed to shoot the bucks I did, but then god teased me.

I have never seen NT since & I personally didn't feel he was a super old buck at the time. I am not sure if he is alive, but I am going to give him another try in a few short weeks.

Go hunting this fall!!! No EXCUSES...

Oh yeah, go pick up an Outdoorsman's Resource Guide at a local Wal-Mart, Barnes & Noble or PREFERRED Arizona Bow Shop near you! Read it, then toss it in your truck, because you never know when a phone number will come in handy...

What a toad. He may not be wide, but his rack is tall with good forks and mass. There's even trash on that rack to make it even prettier. Just an awesome buck. Good luck.

I will be looking for this buck i spotted last year. Maybe the droptine is a little longer this year!

Another toad. This buck is wide and high with great forks and extras. A magnificent animal. Good luck.

I am starting to sleep like hell, as this is the only hunt for myself (besides predators) I will have all year. For some reason over the last few years my attraction to big old velvet bucks has grown into my favorite time & animal to hunt. It's just something about glassin' up a big old muley & trying to give him the slip.

Get out & hunt guys! I am ready to get out of this damn office, & I hope to smack a good one & I hope you guys do too! Enjoy it & congratulate one another, because that's what it is all about...
