I went over to Chris Krueger's yesterday to OK the early pose for a bobcat and 5' diamondback he's doing for me. From the looks of the preliminary work, it's gonna look super and very unique. He'll be entering it in the state competition.

He just finished altering the forms and building the metal armature that goes up through the snake and into the bobcat. The cat, with a hunched up back, will be suspended in midair while grabbing the snake behind it's head.

We kind of modeled it off this video at the 1:22 mark near the very end.

LAST EDITED ON Jun-11-11 AT 10:22AM (MST)[p]Ironically, today is the day I get to see my bobcat/snake mount. It was turning out so well, Chris decided to enter it into the AZ Taxidermy Show competition.

The judging was last night, but I don't know the results yet. I'm headed to the show in about 1/2-hr., though. So I'll be taking a few pix and will post them later in a separate thread.
