Quick Question

I'm looking at the rules right now for turkey. My son is asking about a red dot sight. Made me curious. Nowhere does it say that it is allowed, but it also does not say it is prohibited. Does anyone know if red dot sights are allowed for turkey with a shotgun?

If it doesn't project a (laser) light it's Okay.

That's what I thought, no light of any type. But, it only says that for crossbows and bows. He isn't gonna use one, but asked the question. Told him "Let's look and find out real quick!" But, just like a lot of things, isn't a simple answer. Assumed since it doesn't prohibit it, it's ok.

Yeah, for the most part, a laser sight is pretty pointless in most rifle scenarios.

Definitely. Only close range military scenarios really. Imagine the long range gunners trying to shoot a 750 yard shot on an elk with a laser sight?

Well, they'd definitely have to upgrade their lasers. Which is what they do with optics and equipment. Hahahahahah
