Which RAC meeting? I went to the Central RAC meeting. THe Central RAC voted to redue the number of spike permits from 19,000 to 11,000. Continue to allow hunters to apply for both the OIAL permit and elk permit. The DWR wanted to make you apply for only one choice and you could get get a bonus point for the other option. I left before the vote on the LE elk permit increase. I am told the RAC voted to increase the tags from $180 to $280 for resident LE tags. 5% of tags in the LE elk areas will be designated as premium tags. They will cost $500 and allow a hunt to hunt all three weapon seasons.
