Hey All,
Can anyone recommend a semi-guided elk hunt in NM?
I am using most of my vacation for a trip with some family this year so on the hunting front I'm hoping to squeeze in a hunt that I don't have to spend a lot of time scouting for or setting up camp etc.
A friend has used Kiowa in the past and had a good experience hunting unit 51 but just looking to see what else is out there.
Not looking for a trophy unit but just decent draw odds (15% + ideally), and an area that would provide a decent opportunity hunt through an outfitter that can provide a camp, meals, and some tips to point us in the right areas.
I'm also likely moving even further away from NM so I'm most likely flying in for this one if we draw. As such an outfitter that provides a camp and meals would be great. I don't need transportation as one of my brother in laws will be driving there.
Anyone vouch for Kiowa or suggest a different route?
We're rifle hunting as an FYI and would prefer the first rifle season if possible.
Thanks!
