Redfield scopes

A friend who has a FFL bought a few on closeout.I don't know what model but it's a 3x9 that normaly went for around $600 and he got them for $245.If its crap i don't want it regardless of how much i save.Any one out there have one or any info?

Redfield is an OLD optics company. I think my first scoped .22 rifle had a Redfield scope on her.

If you haven't bought it already, I'd recommend a different scope maker.
For that amount of money I'd look at a Nikon Buck Master, Sightron SII, Burris, or maybe a used Leupold Vari X.
For around $300, you could even hook up on a Zeiss Conquest 3-9 if you look around some.
