reduced price Ewe/lamb tags

With all of the gloom and doom about Deer, Moose, etc.. its nice to hear that the sheep are doing well. At least I hope thats the reason for the E / L tags.

Its my understanding that there is a fairly heavy concentration of sheep that winter in certain drainages of the Greybull river. With that being said I believe the intent is to reduce some of the numbers of ewes so as to reduce the risk of disease transmission. I kinda wish they would try transplanting some of these ewes to perhaps help bolster the Whiskey mountain sheep herd that has never recovered from the die-offs of 1990-91. Im fine with giving out tags for them and being that Im in my 5 year waiting period Im in for a ewe tag first choice. Its only valid within the greybull river drainage in the wilderness which means it would basically be a pack in type hunt for the most part. I'm crossing my fingers it wont be hard to draw, but Im guessing for us residents its gonna be way hard to draw. Can't wait til the draw results are out...a ewe would look great next to my lifesize ram mount!

when the proclamation came out i thought of putting in for a tag, but forgive me for saying it, but i would have a hard time putting a bullet into a lamb or ewe....i have no problem with a cow or doe but for some reason i don't think i could do it.

+2 Wyoming.

While I'm sure there's some biologist sitting Wyoming right now with a valid reason to increase tags, I just cant see shooting a ewe/lamb. I'm all for transplanting. At any rate, it's good to see their numbers are increasing.

I don't really understand it either. Why don't they haul some over to Ferris / Seminoes ? They're still trying to get that herd going aren't they ?
